- Cash donations for low-income energy crisis from various church and community sources
and one utility.
- Relief for Energy Assistance through Community Help (REACH), instituted in 1983, is
funded by donations of about $2 million each year from customers and employees of
Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E).
- Customer donations to Southern California Gas Co.'s Gas Assistance Fund are matched
dollar for dollar up to $250,000 by corporate funding from Sempra Energy. In 2002,
contributions of $462,697 assisted 6,600 households.
