MASSACHUSETTS FUEL FUNDS
- Good Neighbor Energy Fund consists of private donations and utility contributions.
Benefits provide a maximum $200 payment toward energy bills for households with
incomes between 151 - 200 percent of federal poverty level. Administered by the
Salvation Army and select LIHEAP subgrantees, the fund totaled $512,707 in FY 2002.
- Utility and ratepayer donations fund Westfield Warm. Benefits pay for primary electric
and/or gas for households who have exhausted their fuel assistance benefit or who were not
eligible for LIHEAP.
- The HCAC Fuel Bank is funded by private donations, community groups and fundraising
events. Benefits assist households up to 200 percent of federal poverty level.
