MISSOURI STATE FUNDS

• A "Utilicare Stabilization Fund" authorized by the Missouri legislature in 1997 received its first year of funding effective July 1, 1998.  The energy assistance portion is distributed through the LIHEAP program, which starts in mid-November; the weatherization portion will goes to the Department of Natural Resources, which administers weatherization. An appropriation must be sought from the legislature each year.
