Florida State and Local Funds

• In 1992 the Florida legislature passed the William E. Sadowski Affordable Housing Act. Funding comes from a portion of documentary stamp taxes on deeds and supports the following two programs that supplement the state's WAP: State Housing Initiatives Partnership, which funds weatherization measures; and the Low-Income Emergency Home Repair Program, which funds emergency home repairs and energy-related home repairs.
