Illinois State and Local Funds
- The City of Chicago utilizes part of the city's investment of Chicago Skyway proceeds to
provide home heating assistance for low-income households, $2.8 million for 2006.
- On May 29, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich signed Senate Bill 2030, which provided $5.2 million in state general funds to the Supplemental Low-Income Energy Assistance Fund. The one-time new funding enabled the state to provide supplemental benefits of up to $100 to hundreds of thousands of households that received benefits through LIHEAP in FY 2006.
