NCAT Debuts Consumer-Focused Restructuring Website

The National Energy Affordability and Accessibility Project website (NEAAP) monitors the impacts of energy market changes on residential consumers. Check out this website for a quick and easy-to-use overview of:

• Which states have restructured their electric and/or natural gas industries and their current status
• Which states have not restructured, and why
• How many residential customers have switched to alternative suppliers in restructured states
• Consumer protection provisions for residential customers in restructured states
• Residential energy efficiency and low-income energy programs in all 50 states and the District of Columbia
• Phone numbers and website links for utility regulatory commissions, state consumer advocates, and grassroots groups in each state
• Links to federal and state agency energy websites, along with industry, consumer, media and educational groups that focus on energy market changes and their effects on residential consumers

NEAAP is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation.
