2005 REACH Grants Announced

The Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Energy Assistance has announced that three states and eight tribes received REACH funding for FY 2005.

The states of Massachusetts, Maine and Rhode Island each received grants of $1.1 million, with $100,000 of the grant for client energy efficiency education services.

The following tribes received grants of $150,000: Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Chippewa Cree Tribe, Montana; Chickasaw Nation, Oklahoma; Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe, South Dakota; Northern Cheyenne Tribe, Montana; and United Tribes of Kansas & Southeast Nebraska, Inc. The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians of Michigan received $149,949. The Central Council of Tlingit and Haida of Alaska received $175,000, including $25,000 for energy efficiency education services.

This is the third REACH grant for Massachusetts, the fourth for Maine and the second for Rhode Island.
